Terry Riley's In C 60th Anniversary Concert at BankArt

catalog #: ALP088

This work is a record of a performance celebrating the 60th anniversary of the birth of "In C" held at BankART Station (Yokohama) on October 26, 2024. This concert, which featured 22 cutting-edge musicians active in various genres such as improvisation, jazz, classical and rock, was held at the art space BankART Station (which ceased its activities in this lovation in March this year) inside Shin- Takashima Station on the Minatomirai Line. Marcos Fernandes, who organized this event, held "In C In Yokohama" in 2023 to perform the same piece to commemorate Terry Riley's 88th birthday. But this performance is even larger in scale than that effort, attempting to create a new generation of "In C" that is detailed yet improvisational as the the multiple layers intertwine.
