Less Pain Forever
I Know What It's Like To Want To Dance
Executive Producer: Ryan Page.
All songs written and performed by Less Pain Forever.
James Karnes manipulates a double guitar/bass device whilst vocalizing like an angel and Christopher Pomerenke spearheads a drums/keyboards contraption whilst singing from the heart.
LESS PAIN FOREVER are genius! (Sic) They have nochoice. James Karnes plays guitar and sings la-la-la ... Christopher Pomerenke re-invented drumming! He traded his toms for a synth keyboard and mounted it to his kick drum! He plays the drums, keyboards and sings all at the same time! Together they form a living art installation! Together they have created PHENOMEROCK! Together they have created I KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WANT TO DANCE, recorded at Sonic Youth's Echo Canyon studio in Manhattan by Sonic Youth engineer Aaron Mullan (Tall Firs) and mixed by Christopher Fudurich (Nada Surf, Jimmy Eat World). Already legendary in their own minds, LESS PAIN FOREVER are often likened to They Might Be Giants, Frank Zappa, and Devo, but a deeper investigation of the new album reveals less obvious affiliations to other bands who put the pill in the pudding like Steely Dan, The Clash, Flaming Lips, and those sarcastic fucks, The Beatles.
